Ageless aging mindset

Take the Reins of Aging

Take the reins of aging by considering these actions. Many of you already have some version of them on your daily ‘to do’ list.

Acknowledge Your Value: If you don’t value YOU, then who will? Establish boundaries, defend your decisions, and speak up. Make yourself  number #1 in your life. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about others; it means you understand the importance of self-care and self-appreciation.

Build Your Strength: Create and implement a daily routine that benefits your emotional, mental and physical strength. For example: self-care increases emotional strength; engagement tests mental strength; and movement builds physical strength.

Know Your Capacity: Do you know how much you can actually handle as opposed to how much you want to handle? Don’t let ego get in your way. Gauging your capacity helps you approach all your engagements with confidence and self-awareness. Establishing your capacity ensures you don’t bite off more than you WANT to chew.

Exercise A Mindful Mindset: Act mindfully. Communicate mindfully. Make mindful decisions. Being aware of how and why you engage allows you to put real thought behind your actions and be flexible in your mindset.

Expand Your Universe: Learn something new. Go somewhere new. Eat something new. Wear something new. Sometimes we settle into what’s comfortable and allow complacency to step in and make itself at home. Always be expanding.

Express Your Creativity: Allow your creative self to drive your self-expression. Discover what fulfills your inner passion and brings you the most joy—then, live that passion out loud!
